This one has grown on me. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. I now like it a lot. There’s nothing outre or scandalous about it – which makes a nice change from conductors who want to put their “stamp” on the work, or shout from the rooftops, “Behold, my Interpretation!”. It’s an unsurprising, uncontroversial, but very satisfying reading. This would make the ideal first Planets for anyone unfamiliar with it.
